I'm sure I'll have more things to say later on, but I'm exhausted from staying up to enjoy Duke's beatdown of Kentucky while following the election online.

I will say that the national results will facilitate my discussions in my AP Government class. This is the week when we're looking at what the Constitution with why and how checks and balances were established. So we can talk today about what it will mean to have divided government once again. It will once again bear out the wisdom of the Founders.

It wasn't a bloodbath or a blue tsunami as so many were predicting and the Republicans did better in the Senate than predicted. So look toward gridlock when it comes to public policy. But when it comes to confirming more judges, Cocaine Mitch had a wonderful night. And that sounds good to me.

More later. I have to go read about Duke's exciting team!
