I'm back home now after a perfectly lovely visit to England with my two daughters. We saw as many of the sights as we could crowd into our days while still having energy left at the end of the day. It seemed that we were experiencing and learning about such a vast range of history from the neolithic ruins at Avebury to the Roman ruins in Bath and all the artifacts on display at the British Museum. Then we moved on to the great sites of English history such as Westminster Abbey and Hampton Court and Churchill's War rooms. And all the lovely art museums. There was so much more I would have loved to see, but we were still happy to come home and return in time for Independence Day. It seemed rather fitting, after all.
