Cruising the Web

Not only are the oil and natural gas industries booming, the U.S. also has double the amount of oil and three times the amount of natural gas than previously thought. No one predicted this American energy boom just a few years ago.

We're starting to find out even more about how the stimulus money was wasted and didn't produce the hoped-for jobs. In Wyoming, $10 million of stimulus money didn't produce any jobs but did pay a six-figure salary to the son of Republican Senator Mike Enzi. Lovely.

Daniel Henninger describes how what we're seeing now is presidential followship, not leadership. Of course, that has been Obama's modus operandi ever since he became president. He outsourced the crafting of the stimulus and health care bills to the Democrats in Congress. He just shows up to do the demagoguing from the bully pulpit. He's really the un-Lyndon Johnson.

Former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey clarifies quite a few questions about the rights accrued to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and how the Obama administration granted him rights they did not need to.

The FBI and Justice Department conduct of their investigation into the ricin-laced letters was botched from the get go. They arrested the Elvis impersonator and kept him in jail for a week while seeking to keep him longer all the while they were already investigating the second guy and collecting physical evidence against him. They already knew that the first guy was being framed, but tried to keep him in custody longer.

Obama can't decide if we're all going to turn around and adore Obamacare once it's all implemented or that it's just about all been implemented and nothing terrible has happened so we should love it.

So how much of a family man is Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe who was so restless that he left his pregnant wife in the delivery room so he could go to a Washington Post party? That anecdote is from his own book. And this guy whose first ad is selling him as this wonderful family man also wrote about how, while driving his wife and new baby home from the hospital stopped off at a fundraiser and left his crying wife and newborn in the car while he went in to suck up to the union leader hosting the fundraiser. I wonder if the media will pay as much attention to these stories as the story of Romney's dog on the roof. Well, actually, I don't need to wonder.

Whadda ya' mean nobody predicted the energy boom. Of course Obama predicted it or, at least, is taking credit for it.

Where I come from, "leading from behind" is following. If there is any work other than talking, Obama is at a distinct disadvantage. He hates work.
