Obama's revealing comment

At yesterday's press conference, President Obama was asked if he truly wanted higher gas prices. His response was revealing.
"From a political perspective, do you think the president of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher? Is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense?"
Oh, so he is acknowledging that his approach to high gas prices is totally political?

Remember when critics blasted Mitt Romney for his gaffe in saying that he told the lawncare group working at his house that they couldn't hire illegal immigrants because he was running for office, "for Pete's sake." That was taken to mean that he didn't care other than for the appearance such a story would make while he was on the campaign trouble.

Well, surprise, surprise. Obama cares about high energy prices while he's running for office this year. Yet his policies have been geared to blocking our energy potential. And of course the media treats the gas price hikes under Obama much differently than they did the ones under Bush. And Obama continues his fascination with electric cars and other ideas that just aren't panning out despite the science that should be telling him to act otherwise.

Obama said at his press conference yesterday that he was against high gas prices because it hurts families. Yet, he said that under his plan electric rates would soar. Would't that hurt families? He can't have both ways.
