Cruising the Web

For those like Thomas Friedman and Barack Obama who think we should be emulating China's economic policies, should take a look at China's deserted Disneyland.

How are Democrats going to demonize Paul Ryan's Medicare plan, now that a Democratic senator is teaming up with him on a proposal?

Clearly, Obama's 2012 strategy is to try to make the election about his Republican opponent. Hmmm which Republican might make that Obama task easier?

Marc Thiessen is exactly right:
it's just crazy for the Romney team to be trotting out former White House chief of staff John Sununu to attack Gingrich. Do conservatives really want to hear from the guy responsible for giving the country Justice David Souter?

Newt Gingrich might tout himself as one of the original supply-siders, but the evidence isn't that clear when we revisit the Tax Reform Act of 1986. He preferred to use tax credits to earn the votes of various groups in order to model FDR, the man he considers "the greatest figure of the 20th century" and America's best president of that century, by buying off various voting groups with tax breaks rather than simplifying the tax code.

There is something about these satires that always amuses me. This is one of the best I've seen. I love the idea that Gingrich is citing William Kristol's eternal hope that there will be some other candidate entering the race.
