The Democrats' dereliction of duty

Ah, the Democrats' sense of responsibility. First they neglected to pass any sort of budget last year. And now Harry Reid is once again refusing to offer a budget this year.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said it would be "foolish" for Democrats to propose their own federal budget for 2012, despite continued attacks from Republicans that the party is ducking its responsibility to put forward a solution to the nation's deficit problems.

"There's no need to have a Democratic budget in my opinion," Reid said in an interview Thursday. "It would be foolish for us to do a budget at this stage."
Think of that. The Democrats control one house of Congress and yet they will not put forth their own budget because they don't want to take the political attacks that such an effort would entail. Putting forth a budget involves choices and when you make choices, you will be criticized. They can't agree within their own caucus. Better to throw stones at the GOP efforts while doing nothing on their own. Why change from what they did last year.

Remember this when they come around next year asking for your vote to lead both houses again. Their plan of action is to have no plan of action and then demagogue the Republicans for stepping up to the plate.

Such dereliction of responsibility is despicable and demonstrates yet again how undeserving they are of leadership.
