Dumb demagoguery

The Republicans are actually trying to cut government spending. The Democrats are living in their debates from the 1990s about how any cutting will be dangerous. Listen to Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida respond to the Republicans' resolution to go back in spending way back to the levels of ... 2008.
"That will hurt people who have cancer and kids who are trying to get Pell grants to go to college. We really have to remember, we're not just spending on, you know, big government bloated programs, the spending we appropriate helps real people."
That's the level of demagoguery that the Democrats are sending out there. By those criteria no cuts are possible. There is always someone who benefits from some government spending. And Democrats can always trot out some poor unfortunate who will be losing something important to him or her if we cut the government spending. If we're going to be throwing cancer into the accusations whenever someone talks about cutting the level of spending, we'll never get any cuts made.

Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has signaled that the Democrats aren't serious about cutting spending; they're serious only about their demagoguery.

I'm seeing more and more of Wasserman Schultz. And she's always out there making the petulant, emotional pitches. What a sorry position to be in.

The Republicans wrote the book on demagoguery - have you watched Fox news recently? Listened to DeMint or Palin. Give me a break!
