I hope all of you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family. No matter how much we complain, we have a lot to be thankful about. My class was just reading about labor conditions during the industrial revolution where six year old children were working 16 hour days in mines and factories and I told my students to think of that any time they felt like complaining about the work they had to do. No matter how bad the economy seems, hey - we're not dealing with economic problems that countries have faced in history or as some countries are facing even today. We have a lot to appreciate about our lives and it's good to spare that a thought in between the feasts and football.
