First they run an ad and misspell Massachusetts. Now they run an attack ad on Scott Brown and use and image of the World Trade Center in the background. Does no one proof these ideas?
So in the space of one week they have had two ads that they have had to pull, thus creating a storyline about their goof and losing whatever the message was that they were trying to make. And the Friday before the election, people will spend time talking about the campaign's seemingly endless list of gaffes rather than whatever the message really is.
They'd be better off, perhaps, if they just ran this too-close-to-the-truth mock ad that one Boston talk radio station put together. The only thing that would make it more realistic if they threw in a bunch of tea-bagger, BushHitler jabs.
