I heard Traficant interviewed yesterday. Talk about a blast from the past. He said that there were plans in the works for a movie about his life. You know - the typical boy from working class family makes it to the halls of Congress where he fights for the little guy while breaking the law.
William Shatner is probably too old for the part to play the young Traficant, but there would be a special sort of symmetry to have Shatner play the man who made the phrase "Beam me up" famous on the House floor.
Any other casting ideas?

I think James Carville could do a cameo as the "banjo boy" from Deliverance.
The faceless twerp who played Capt. Kirk in the newest Star Trek movie would be perfect. With a head full of gel, his hair can stand up at all kinds of angles and he's even more of a hack than the guy he replaced.
Traficant could have a dream sequence in which he plays Lewis Carroll's Alice to Barack Obama's Cheshire Cat. They could have an enlightened discussion on "transparency" until Traficant ramps off on another "Joo" conspiracy tirade.
WHAT would play his hair??
