Nervous Blue Dogs

The Hill reports that some Blue Dog Democrats in the House are getting a mite bit nervous about where Nancy Pelosi will be leading them. Not only has she sanctioned Henry Waxman's overthrow of the seniority system when he ousted John Dingell, but now they're starting to worry about her announced support for six-year term limits for committee chairs. The clock started ticking for those chairmen in 2006.
Centrists are grumbling that their growing ranks aren’t represented in the leadership team that Pelosi shaped through back-room arm-twisting. The so-called Blue Dogs, while publicly celebrating President-elect Obama’s commitment to "pay-go," are wondering when the stimulus balloon stops expanding.

There is also growing speculation that pay-go will be waived for healthcare legislation, which is expected to cost hundreds of billions of dollars.
How quaint that these so-called centrist Democrats truly expected the House Democrats to support pay-go now that they hold the reins for both the Executive and Legislative branches. Has anything really indicated that the government is making sure that they spend no more than they take in? They may talk a good game, but on the day after politicians have been making favorable noises about bailing out the Big Three auto companies, did these Blue Dogs really expect pay-go to be a factor in anything?
