Joe Biden let the mask slip on Sunday when he told us that our enemies would generate a crisis and that Obama's response would be unpopular.
And Obama has let us know about his redistributionist tendencies when he told Charlie Gibson that he wanted to raise capital gains taxes because of fairness regardless of whether it would raise revenue. And then he told Joe Wurzelbacher that he wanted to "spread the wealth around."
Now Barney Frank, who did so much to run interference for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and block reform because he wanted to continue their practice of giving out loans to people who shouldn't have qualified for loans, is telling us what his plans for the future are.
“I think at this point, there needs to be a focus on an immediate increase in spending and I think this is a time when deficit fear has to take a second seat. I do think this is a time for a kind of very important dose of Keynesianism. I believe later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money.”As chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and a top Democrat in the House, he is in the position to pass that sort of redistributionist tax increase that the Democrats are dreaming of. They don't care that tax hikes on the wealthy never collect the anticipated revenues supporters desire because the wealthy are just the people who can find ways to manage their money to minimize their tax bills. But for "fairness" Barney Frank and other Democrats would like to just stick it to all those "very rich people" out there. They'll never recover as much as they hope, but what does that matter to them?
And if the Democrats score the sorts of gains in the Senate that the polls indicate they might well be able to pass through enough tax increases to content Barney Frank. Do you think that a President Obama, who has never gone against the Democratic leadership in his whole career, would veto such a tax increase? Dream on.
They're telling us what they plan. Unfortunately, we're at the point where the majority are quite happy to tax the minority to fund their handouts and benefits and don't care about the economic effects of such policies.

Glad to see your comments are open again.
Obama’s “tax cuts” are going to put this nation into serious financial unrest. His left wing illuminati antics are going to cripple this nation for YEARS to come.
I can't believe people aren't catching these slips. Biden slipped on the testing of his running mate's experience. The mainstream media does not air these slips like they should. They're careful not to upset the left-wing illuminati.
