Inching to the center

Ben Smith reports that Obama is starting is move to the center by bringing onboard an adviser who, horrors!, has had nice things to say about that den of iniquity - Walmart. He'll need to do a lot more than that to counter the growing perception that he's political liberal. Rasmussen's most recent report shows that the public's growing perception of both Obama and McCain as liberal and conservative. It shows how candidates can be defined by their opponents. And Obama is going to find it as hard to escape the liberal label as McCain will find it hard to fight the McBush label.
