The 10 most historically inaccurate movies. The choice is from recent movies. As someone on The Corner points out, The Patriot's climatic battle is based on Cowpens, with a tinge of Guilford Courthouse. And I don't see why 2001, A Space Odyssey is included as a historical movie. Science fiction movies should fall into a different category. But the list is still fun.

While military history is more popular than ever among the general reader and among those in the military academies, it is really suffering in academia. The University of Wisconsin at Madison hasn't even filled a chair that Stephen Ambrose left money to endow for a military historian there.
Not the discipline methods I recommend: a Denver teacher had the class hit a boy who was late to class and couldn't do the required sit ups. Wouldn't it just be easier to quit the job without encouraging kids to gang up on a kid and beat him up?
