I didn't watch it last night. American Idol was on and I've become a big fan. But reading the summaries and listening to the clips of Hillary Clinton whining about getting the first question and trying to differentiate between denouncing Farakhan and rejecting him, it's clear that Hillary just self-destructed in public. Why shouldn't she want to have the first question if she's competing to be the leader of the free world? And complaining about the media never works for candidates. Their supporters can complain but the candidate should rise above it. The reviews are unanimous - Hillary was absolutely terrible and Obama wrapped up the nomination for sure last night. Read the Standard, Contentions, and the Corner plus Michael Godwin and Duane Patterson for more detailed commentary.
Last night's debate is the exact reason that Republicans have been hoping and hoping that Mrs. Clinton would win her party's nomination. She has proved that, if she has some real competition, she is an absolutely terrible politician.
And Obama proved once again that he has political skills that will drive Republicans crazy. If Bill Clinton's wife was treated unfairly by the media, can you imagine what a Republican will have to endure?
