One of the memes by many liberal bloggers is how the Bush administration has manipulated press coverage. Conservatives, of course, see no such malleability on the part of the press coverage of Bush. You choose.

But don't expect to see some super change if Hillary Clinton takes over the White House. Jack Schafer, no conservative stooge, examines the Hillary media machine. They've learned to cozy up with Drudge. They are threatening to withhold access in order to kill stories they don't like or deny reporters they don't like from writing stories. They exact concessions from the networks when she appears for interviews.

We'll see how supine the media will be for these sorts of tactics.
