Madeleine L'Engle author of one of my favorite books when I was a kid, A Wrinkle in Time, has passed away. Decades before J. K. Rowling, L'Engle brought a lot of pleasure to so many kids.
John Podhoretz has a sweet reminiscence of living in the same apartment building as L'Engle and her grace when, as a young fan, he spoke to her in the elevator.
