Former Governor Jim Gilmore of Virginia is dropping out of the presidential race. Whatever gave this guy the idea that he was a viable candidate? I'll never understand these people who think that because they got mentioned one time on some pundit's list of possible candidates that despite having no base of support or money nor any demonstrated political charisma that they should run for president. He says that the demands of fundraising in this frontloaded schedule are just too intense. Hello? Is this just dawning on the guy?

I expect that he'll be the first of many to drop out as they see that they just don't have the funds to keep it going.
