What is going on with the Senate immigration bill
John Hawkins reports on what a sources inside the Senate has told him about what is going on now with the Senate immigration bill. It's not dead and several Republicans like Trent Lott and Mitch McConnell are working along with Senators McCain, Kyl, and Graham to find a way to pass the bill without any troublesome anti-amnesty amendments. Those who oppose the bill are going to have one more big battle in the Senate before the July 4 break to try to avoid cloture on debate. Read Hawkins' post to see what the pro-bill advocates in the Republican Party have planned.
