News must be really slow

When a columnist such as Margery Eagan stoops to devoting a whole column to the breasts of the wives of the GOP candidates, you know that news must be really slow. I know it's hard to be a columnist. I have enough trouble coming up with topics for my own intermittent column, but somehow it never occurred to me to write a whole column about Republican cleavage.

And then there's Joe Scarborough, who became strangely less interesting when he got promoted to prime time on MSNBC and realized that he does best when he bashes Republicans. Michelle Malkin has the video of him joking about Fred Thompson's wife working "the pole," that is working as a stripper. How tasteless and offensive. I guess Scarborough's been practicing to fill the Imus spot. He can have Eagan on and they can both demonstrate their mastery of punditry by some more cackling about the decolletage of the candidates' wives.
