Whether you agree or not with the Libertarian Party, I ask your help in getting the necessary signatures to get Professor Munger onto the N.C. ballot for 2008. North Carolina has some of the most stringent requirements for a third party to get onto the ballot. The Democrats and Republicans were able to agree on one thing: they both don't want third party competition. So, the Libertarians need to get 120,000 petition signatures two years in advance in order to get his name on the ballot. And, I can guarantee you that Michael would be the most entertaining and intelligent person ever to fun for governor of this state. As my husband has said, it would be worth money to see a debate with the professor there with the two other candidates. I don't think that the average N.C. politician has any hope going up against as smart, knowledgeable, and dang funny a guy as Michael Munger.
If you are a registered NC voter, please take a couple of minutes and a stamp to go to this site and print out the petition. Sign it, maybe get a few friends to sign it also, and send it off to this address:
NC Libertarian Ballot Access DriveI'd really appreciate your help. You don't have to vote for him, but perhaps you agree with me that it's a disgusting shame that the parties have colluded to make it so difficult and expensive to keep others off the ballot.

Plus watching his candidacy would be the most entertaining thing to happen in N.C. politics since I moved here.
