It's never too late to prosecute a dictator. The Poles are planning to charge Gen. Wojciech Jaruzelski, the last leader of Communist Poland, with violating the Polish constitution by imposing martial law in 1981.
Jaruzelski, 82, also could face charges for harassment, the internment of thousands of government opponents and the deaths of almost 100 people during some 18 months of martial law.
Ah, the mills of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine. Let it be so.
