Well, this is a first. I actually agree with E. J. Dionne today. He is arguing, as I did earlier this week that it is hypocritical and distasteful for the President's supporters to argue that Harriet Miers will be an okay appointment because she's a Fundamentalist Christian. Conservatives didn't like it when liberals used Roberts' devout Catholicism against him as a lever to attack his supposed position on abortion. Well, conservatives shouldn't be using Miers' faith as a cue to tell pro-life people that she's one of them.
