Well, it is going to be a depressing day for the President's supporters, including me, as we wait for indictments to come out. I've found this story too confusing to follow and dislike all the reporting based on anonymous leaks. Whatever Fitzgerald decides to do, I hope that he issues enough information so we can learn and evaluate what happened.

Meanwhile, people are basically writing off the Bush second term. They do this for every two-term president in my lifetime. Tony Blankley has some advice for the President based on the premise that if you're not on offense, you're on defense. I doubt that Bush will follow the first piece of advice: to pull the Miers' nomination, or at least pull the nomination before she gets her chance at the hearings. (Stan Brown has some more thoughts on why Bush won't do that.) But Bush could certainly make a stab at some of the other advice.
