Well, anyone who expected the senators to be able to clarify Harriet Miers views on Constitutional questions, might despair at this story. Arlen Specter came out yesterday and said that she had said that she supported the Griswold decision on privacy, but then later, after a call from the nominee, had to issue a statement saying that he'd misunderstood her reply. Either she was quite abtruse in her response or he was quite obtuse while listening to her. Or both.
