Matt Welch has a must-read article interviewing Major Ed Bush, public affairs officer for the Louisiana National Guard, who was there in the Superdome throughout the whole ordeal. And his description of what was going on is so totally different from the image evoked by the media since Katrina struck. I didn't realize that there were hundreds of Lousiana Guard in there the whole time. Admittedly, this guy is a public affairs officer and may be putting a better face on things, but his take is well worth reading. Read the whole thing.
