Oh, dear. Things are looking worse for Michael Brown. Pundit Guy links to a Time report that Brown prevaricated about his resume and positions he held in the 1980s. I think that K Lo's prediction that he was going to resign on Friday saying that he had become more and more of a distraction from relief efforts is looking more and more likely.

Pundit Guy points to other people who have been found to have lied about their records. But that doesn't excuse his lying. We can't tolerate that and especially when he has not distinguished himself since then. The only thing that seems to be protecting him now is that to fire him would be to give in to Bush's critics, something he is usually loath to do. So, ironically, criticism from people like Pelosi is helping Brown.
