John Hawkins gives his breakdown of the different groups within the Democratic Party. Just what my Government class is discussing today - the various groups within each party. As I was getting ready last night to talk about the Democratic Leadership Council and the reaction within the leftist wing of the party, I saw that there are some who will talk about the DLC in the same language as they use for Republicans. They're definitely not in favor of the big tent and are ticked at Hillary Clinton for being a leader of the DLC. Perhaps it is that kind of reaction that is leading Al Gore to stick his toe back into the political waters. There are a lot of liberal activists who can't stand the idea of Hillary being their standard bearer in 2008.
