The Democrats are threatening a filibuster again for Bush's nominee of the person is regarded as too right wing. Haven't we played this record before?

What are they going to do if he nominates someone who hasn't stated a clear position on Roe v. Wade? If that happens, then I think we're headed for a reprise of the Roberts hearings. Lots of spluttering, silly questioning, indignation, posturing, and then....confirmation.

The social conservatives of the party won't be happy just as they're not totally happy with the Roberts nomination. But as long as it isn't someone who is regarded as a squish, like Gonzales, I think most conservatives will be content. There are some who are still grumbling about Roberts, but hey, even Ann Coulter has come around.
