Are people so filled with hatred for George Bush that they think he really doesn't care that black people are suffering? What a vile thought. You can think he's incompetent, arrogant, or whatever. But to suppose that the man is so evil that he is indifferent to the suffering in New Orleans simply because the majority of people on the TV are black betrays such a hatred that I can't even fathom it.

But it has become so accepted now to say such monstrous things. Just listen to Kanye West ask for donations for the Red Cross. That's what he says. "They've given them permission to go down and shoot us....George Bush doesn't care about black people" This is from a NBC telethon to raise money. Is anyone from NBC going to disavow that? Just having a surprised look on Mike Myers' face is not enough.

I'm with Rick Moran on this. However, what started out as a political tactic to gain partisan advantage on a president they despise has now seeped so deeply into the bloodstream of the system that you can have a star go on a telethon and say such things in the midst of asking for money for those victims. And note how he says we should help those in New Orleans because they are black, not because they are suffering and in need of our help, but because they are black. Does that mean he wouldn't want to help them if they weren't black? No, I won't think that of anyone. Gosh, I am sickened by all of this. (Tip via Riehlworldview)
