Robert Novak tries to set the record straight about the Wilson/Plame controversy. I'm still confused. If it is bad to releaseher name or identity, why was the CIA so blase when Novak called to verify her role. One is left with the conclusion that this is purely a partisan attempt to tarnish the administration. I'm not sure what it means to be an "administration official" but not work for the White House, but that is whom Novak is saying told him the story. Karl Rove's name came into it just when Wilson started ranting about all ths and thus publicizing his wife's name even more. Wilson has since retracted his accusation against Rove and his desire to see Rove marched out of the White House in handcuffs. Hmmm, might that not indicate Wilson's motivation in running all over the place to denounce the Bush administration?
